Tour de France

We saw the end of the Tour de France on Sunday.

Montmartre

We took a train tour of Montmartre. We also saw the Salvador Dali exhibit.
At the bottom of the hill, Idan rode on a carousel with his grandmother.

We took the finicular cars to the top of the hill to see the rest of Montmatre and Sacre Couer.

On our way to the metro station in Montmartre, we stumbled upon an Lebanese, anti-Israeli, anti-American protest.

Arc de Triomphe

One night after work, Jamison met us and we went to the top of the Arc de Triomphe.

Our third week

Roni's mom and her boyfriend arrived for a 2 week visit. After picking them up at their hotel, we walked to Luxembourg Gardens. She brought Macaroni and Cheese for Idan. Idan also got mac & cheese in the mail from his friend, Alexandra. He is so happy!

Idan and Roni met some friends at the pool this week. Short-like bathing suits aren't allowed, so Idan wore his new speedo bathing suit.

Bastille Day Fireworks

Idan and Roni went to go see the fireworks at the Eiffel Tower. We found a spot with a good view by Ecole Miliaire and waited for it to get dark .

Bastille Day Parade

Friday was Bastille Day. Roni and Idan went to the parade on the Champs Elysees while Jamison was home sick. The parade started with planes flying low down the parade route followed by the military vehicles down the street.



During the parade, everyone was taking pictures of the tanks and other military vehicles with the French soldiers.

Disneyland Studios

On Thursday, Roni and Idan went to Disneyland Studios. It is similar to MGM Studios in Orlando, but smaller. Here is a picture of Idan on the ride "Magic Carpets of Alladin".

Idan waved to every character in the parade. He was especially happy to see the Toy Story and Lion King floats.




The best part of Idan's day was meeting Chicken Little.

Our second week

Roni and Idan went to Luxembourg Gardens on a hot afternoon. In the sandpit area, they emptied two sandpits and filled them with water for the kids to play in.


One night after Jamison got home from work, we went to the Park at Les Halles to play. As you can see, Idan loved playing in the fountains. We love that it stays light here until 10:30 p.m.

Jardin d'Acclimatation

Sunday, we went to Jardin d'Acclimatation. It is a park, playground, and amusement park on the western edge of Paris.
