Techno Parade

Last week, Jamison was in New Orleans. Idan was devasted that Jamison wasn't home, so Roni took Idan to Disneyland Studios to cheer him up.



















After going to Disneyland, Roni and Idan tried taking the bus to Luxembourg Gardens. Unfortunately, the bus wasn't running because of this Techno Parade going down a street in our neighborhood. We ended up walking to the park, only after pushing throught the mobs of sweaty, drunk people.

The parade was trucks of people blasting techno music and dancing in the streets. It was so loud that our ears hurt for the rest of the day.
















Idan thought it was funny that people were dancing on the potty.

During school, Idan's class goes to the park across the street on the river. Here is his class holding onto the rope crossing the street. He is the tallest one towards the end of the line.

We spent the afternoon at Parc Monceau.


























Idan tried to get in on a soccer game with some French boys.















Idan on the Champs Elyssees. He wanted to go to the top of the Arc d'Triumph again.

















We went for brunch with some friends. Idan and his friend Joey took a cooking class while we ate.

Parc de la Villette, Opera and Madeleine

We spent Saturday morning in Parc de La Villette. We will be sad to leave the parks in Paris. There is nothing like them at home.






















We then went for a tour of the Opera.


























After visiting the specialty gourmet food shops in the area, we went into the Madeleine Church.

Idan's first day of school

Idan standing outside the door on his first day at the Lennen Bilingual School. One of his teachers speaks only French and the other speaks only English. He was so excited for his first day.

Boat ride, Ile Saint Louis, and Les Halles

We took a boat ride on the Seine on Saturday night.





















We walked over the bridge to Ile Saint Louis.


















We ate the best ice cream in France at the Berthillon Ice Cream Restaurant.


















We walked over to Ile de La Cite. We listened to a concert next to Notre Dame.

Our last week of summer

Although we didn't have summer-like weather in Paris, here are pictures of Idan from his last week of summer.

We spent his last day before school, at Disneyland.
